My Special Girl

I know this is not art related but I just had to share this with everyone. Those of you that don't know, my twelve yr old daughter has downs syndrome. Yesterday she participated in the Special Olympics. She did soooo good! I am so proud of her! We look forward to this day all year. It is really amazing to watch all those athletes. If you have never attended one, make sure you put that on your to-do list!

This first pic Brooke (pink shirt) is running the 100 meter. She came in 2nd place.

In this second pic, she is getting high fives by some of her friends in her class. All of her classmates came to support her.
This was a special day for many special athletes!!! (:

Hi, it's a very great blog.
I could tell how much efforts you've taken on it.
Keep doing!

Woo Hoo Brooke!!! Good job!, I couldn't finish a race...I would fall after 5 seconds of running. ;) Congrats!

That is absolutely wonderful. It must be so rewarding for everyone involved.

Hi Brooke,

You did really great.
I can't remember getting a second place on anything until now :-)
Well, maybe sleeping. I'm quite good at sleeping...

Take care,

José
