Ahhh... it felt so good to get my paint brush to going again! And what better subject matter...of course, trees! I painted this tree from a photo I took while I was in the Smoky Mountains last week. The fall colors were awesome and we all had a wonderful time. I am hopeful that I will start posting more new works, but I still have some unfinished projects that need finishing. Hello blogger friends! Just wanted to let everyone know the reason I haven't posted many new paintings lately. It is because I have carpal tunnel in my painting hand of course. For those of you that has never experienced that before...well it is very painful! I was hoping it would eventually go away, but no such luck. I see Dr appt's in the future. This is a commission for a baby's room. The surface was interesting to paint on. The client supplied it for me. It is not canvas...but foam with something glued on it... I don't even know how to explain what it is. It would probably be the same as painting on the bark of a tree! lol Anyway...fun all the same! (:

My brain has been taken hostage by other things... like my 3 yr old son has been having allergic reactions to foods he is eating. I started this piece last night and finished it up this morning. It felt really good to switch gears and paint some landscapes.
